Many prominent African-Americans are buried at Linwood including doctors, lawyers, bankers, businessmen, and beloved teachers. ![]() Visitors can access the western entrance from Walnut Street or the eastern entrance at the north end of Pursley Street. A small creek divides area into an eastern and a western half. The cemetery is on the north side of Walnut Street between Pursley and Grant Avenue.
